The study considers the matters of dependability of the flexibility development forecasts. The authors assume that the flexibility development potential may be directly assessed by the primary tests - and the higher is the test rate, the higher is the development potential of this physical quality.
The experimental data was used as a basis for the conclusion on the priority role of the above test rate for the flexibility development forecast: the higher is the test rate, the higher is the development potential of this physical quality. Subject to the experiment were 17-19 year-old 1-2-year students (n=141, including 63 female and 78 male subjects) engaged in the academic Body Conditioning discipline and qualified with the basic health group. The 10-12-minute flexibility development practices were scheduled twice per week at the end of each training session. In addition, the subjects to the experiment were recommended to apply additional physical training exercises at home.
The study data was indicative of the flexibility development potential being directly rateable by the primary tests: the higher is the test rate, the higher is the development potential of this physical quality. Notional of “passive flexibility” and “active flexibility deficit” were found irrelevant for the flexibility development potential.

Keywords: primary test rate, development potential forecast, flexibility, anthropometric measurements.
