Visualizing tools to stimulate students' learning activity in distance education process

The study overviews the reasons why the sport universities give a growing priority to the modern distance education methods; and outlines the key provisions for this education model with an emphasis on the specific needs of trainees. Reasons for the poor educative and cognitive activity of students are analysed versus the classified preferred education process models. The study describes the study data visualizing tools applicable to and most convenient for students of different typological groups. The study provides an interpretation of the statistically processed study data with recommendations on how the learning materials and learning process models may be optimised. Analysis of the study data on the model application experience versus the students’ progress rates enabled the authors to work out practical recommendations and find that a special emphasis in the further studies should be made on due balancing of the education material visualising models and tools including graphical, schematic and matrix ones.
