Enhancing self-development of adolescents at physical education lessons

The degree of development of the problem of actualizing self-development of adolescents at physical education lessons is to be analyzed relying on a brief review of different literature sources. The article describes the evolution of the definition of "self-development". Actualization of teenagers at physical education lessons contributes to full self-fulfilment through understanding of the meaning of life, the moral ideal, by acquiring the experience of being engaged in sports activity. The actualization of self-development of teenagers at physical education lessons includes in its structure emotional and volitional, cognitive-value and practice-oriented components. All components are holistically significant. Knowledge in terms of school sports education, when an adolescent is formed as a personality in the context of sports education, is an unconditional universal value.
