Abstract

Objective of the study is to identify the attitudes of students of physical education universities and cadets of law enforcement agencies towards the phenomenon of patriotism. Methods and structure of the study. In the course of the study, an anonymous survey was conducted in which cadets of educational organisations of the MIA of Russia (undergoing full-time training and having completed training for the position of “police officer”), military personnel of junior courses of military schools, and students of physical education universities participated. Results and conclusions. The hierarchy of preferences of MIA of Russia employees in relation to certain objects of patriotic feelings was identified. The significance of certain types and components in the structure of the feeling of patriotism was determined. In the course of the educational process, the formation of a conscious understanding of patriotic attitudes of the personality, stable views and a worldview having a hierarchical structure of values takes place. Understanding the specificity of the pedagogical process allows for the correction of the educational interaction between educators and those being educated with the aim of increasing its effectiveness.
