Abstract

Objective of the study is to develop a methodology for organizing the training of middle–distance runners aged 15-17 years in macrocycles of an annual training cycle and to substantiate its effectiveness. Methods and structure of the study. Based on the analysis of literature data and our own research results, a methodology has been developed for organizing the training of middle-distance runners at the stage of advanced specialization in an annual training cycle, which includes the predicted dynamics of the indicators of special fitness of athletes, as well as the rational distribution of the volume of basic training equipment in the autumn-winter and spring-summer macrocycles. The technique was tested in the training process of 13 middle-distance runners aged 15-17 years, and its effectiveness was assessed by the amount of increase in athletic performance and performance in control tests compared to the previous year. Results and conclusions. The nature and dominant orientation of the training effects of middle-distance runners at the stage of in-depth specialization by months of the macrocycle of training are determined. It is shown that the load parameters in terms of magnitude and orientation, as well as content and character, should correspond not only to the strategic goals of athletes' training in the macrocycle, but also be commensurate with the biorhythmological patterns of their body's functioning in the mesocycle. The results of the pedagogical experiment showed the productivity of the developed methodology and the expediency of an individual approach in the implementation of the training process.
