Physical education classes: students’ motivations and predispositions

Objective of the study was to analyze benefits of a case study technology for improvement of the trainees’ school physical education motivations and predispositions.
Methods and structure of the study. The case study technology model testing experiment was run in 2017 to 2021 at a secondary school in Radishchevsky district (Ulyanovsk Oblast) on a 1-9-graders’ sample (n=162). The new case study technology was piloted as complementary to the class/ off-class physical education practices, with the case study technology benefits for the physical education motivations and predispositions rated by the pre- versus post-experimental tests. The ecological culturing component of the case study technology model was geared to promote healthy lifestyle in the school population with sustainable physical education and sports motivations.
Results and conclusion. The case study technology model testing experiment showed benefits of the new physical education motivations and predispositions improvement toolkit both for the trainees’ physical education and sports motivations and ecological culture.
