Objective of the study was to analyze benefits of a Body Pump model for the first-year women’s group trainings at a physical education university.
Methods and structure of the study. We sampled for the new Body Pump model testing experiment the first-year female students of the Physical Education and Health Department (EG, n=12) and Adaptive Physical Education Department (RG, n=13). The Experimental Group was trained at the Fit Line Fitness Center of Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, with the low- and moderate-intensity 40-60 min trainings run three times a week for six months giving a special priority to the endurance building aspect. The Control Group was trained as required by the traditional physical training curriculum.
Results and conclusion. The new Body Pump model was tested beneficial as verified by the meaningful progress of the Experimental Group in the physical fitness tests versus the Control Group. The Body Pump model may be recommended for a broader application by the physical education universities in the first-year women’s group training service.
