Indoor/ outdoor active games for physical activation of 5-6-year-olds: benefit analysis

Abstract
Objective of the study was to test and analyze benefits of an indoor/ outdoor active game model for physical education of the 5-6 year-olds.
Methods and structure of the study. We sampled for the active games model testing experiment the 5-6-year-old preschoolers (n=46, including 24 girls and 22 boys). The group physical education service was complemented by a variety of active games including morning gymnastics, physical trainings, 1-minute active rest breaks, outdoor walking, entertainments, holidays, and unassisted games.
Results and conclusion. The pre-experimental tests in September found active games making only 20% in the physical activity of the sample. The interim and post-experimental tests (in the 1-3 and 4-6 month periods) found the active games growth of 10% and 10%, respectively. The active games model complementary to the preschool physical education service was tested beneficial for the intensity and time of physical activity, particularly in the outdoor physical activity domain.
