Abstract
Objective of the study was to analyze benefits of a new hurdling technique excellence model for academic athletics groups
Methods and structure of the study. The hurdling technique excellence model was designed to analyze the key individual progress mechanisms with their strengths and weaknesses, develop special training service models and test their benefits in practical academic athletics trainings. First we classified and analyzed the typical errors made by the academic athletics groups, and then developed individualized/ customizable hurdling technique excellence paths with the error correction elements. In the second training stage, we corrected the individual hurdling technique errors by special combined elementary exercises with an ‘intensity zoning procedure’ on a ‘harmonized progress’ basis. Individual progresses in the hurdling technique excellence trainings were tested by standard technical fitness tests.
Findings and conclusion. The hurdling technique excellence model testing experiment showed the model being reasonably beneficial for the hurdling technique correction and competitive progress based on a good understanding of every technical element and individual progress needs. The individual hurdling technique progress was secured by creative analyses of video replays to detect, analyze and correct the execution errors, improve the movement coordination and performance on the whole. As a result of the hurdling technique excellence model testing experiment, the academic athletics sample was tested to make progress of 13.8% on average for the study period.

Keywords: trainees, hurdling technique, motor error correction, complex of training conditions and implementation.
