Objective of the study was to typify and define an algorithm for identifying the technical actions of goalball players.
Methods and structure of the study. The study methodology was aimed to determine the main quantitative and temporal characteristics of the competitive activity of goalball players of different physical fitness groups. Proceeding from these criteria, the athletes' motor actions were classified, identified and rated based on the criterion of interaction with the ball. The analysis of video recordings of the actions with the ball enabled to form three groups: possession; pass (handling); shot. A total of 3,016 motor actions made by the goalball players of 12 teams (6 men's and 6 women's teams) of different physical fitness groups were analyzed.
Results of the study and conclusions. The video analysis of 6 matches made it possible to determine both the quantitative and temporal characteristics of the goalball players' actions with the ball: the total number of shots, passes and possessions per game, as well as the relative number of motor actions per game (%). In addition, we calculated the average time of the ball possessions, passes and shots, as well as the relative duration of motor actions taken by the goalball players (%).
The comparative analysis of the statistical data on the motor actions taken by the goalball players of different levels of training, revealed that with the improvement of their sports skills, the number of passes tended to increase while the number of throws - to decrease. Moreover, the mean time on the ball increased, and the time to perform throws shortened, which was due to the increase in the level of technical and tactical fitness of the goalball players.
The data obtained provide a core platform for further studies on the development of motor tasks and tests to assess the technical and special physical fitness of goalball players, as well as researches on the biomechanical characteristics of motor actions of goalball players of different qualifications.

Key words: goalball players, fitness level, motor actions, sports activity.
