Objective of the study was to develop and substantiate by experiment the applied professional physical fitness training model for female university students.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was carried out at the premises of the Siberian Federal University from 2015 through 2019 in three stages: Stage 1 (analytical) - 2015-2016, Stage 2 (basic) - 2016-2018, Stage 3 (final) - 2018-2019. The sampling included 50 first-year female students, who were divided into two groups: Experimental (EG) and Control (CG) ones, 25 girls each.
The EG female students were trained according to the developed applied professional physical fitness training model, which included trainings in a selected sport in combination with the modern direction in the field of youth physical culture – "fitness technologies". The CG female students were trained according to the the traditional system of university physical education.
Results of the study and conclusions. In the EG, the results in the 2000m race test increased by 2.7% (p<0.05), those in the 100m sprint test – by 9.7% (p<0.05), in the sit-ups for 1 min test – by 43.4% (p<0.05), in the dip-ups test – by 61.9% (p<0.05). The overall average increment in terms of the overall physical fitness rates was 29.6% (p<0.05).
In the CG female students, the overall average increment in terms of the overall physical fitness rates was 7.9% (p>0.05).
Therefore, we proved the prospects for the inclusion of the applied professional physical fitness training in the system of physical education of female university students (based on the boxing-based fitness practices), which promotes an integrated approach to physical education of young people.
