Objective of the study was to analyze the process of introducing martial arts in general educational institutions along with physical training and patriotic education of students and to identify this correlation during additional classes.
Methods and structure of the study. Sampled for the experiment were the 8th-9th-graders 14-15 year-olds) of Krasnoyarsk tested with relatively equal physical fitness levels a total of 162 students, of whom 86 people were engaged in the educational program "Student-conscript" and mastered hand-to-hand fighting. The educational relationships were formed by the type "man - book - man", namely "teacher - educational program "Student-conscript" - student". During the entire experimental period, the EG subjects mastered the elements of sambo and hands and feet striking techniques. Moreover, the students developed their explosive force to effectively conduct sparring fights using various exercises. In the EG, during the planning sessions and thematic evenings, images of combat athletes (to a greater extent) and other athletes who have committed heroic deeds both during the Great Patriotic War and in civil life were disclosed. We conducted an anonymous questionnaire survey in the closed form before and after the experiment.
Study results and conclusions. Introduction of martial arts in the training process in combination with physical training helped the EG subjects reach a higher level of physical fitness. In addition, the educational relationships by the type "man - book - man", namely "teacher - educational program "Student-conscript" - student" led to positive changes.
