The article considers the socio-educational conditions for advanced training of rhythmic gymnastics coaches in Latin America. It contains the basic facts that determine the immediacy of this problem, as well as the statistical data reflecting the peculiarities of advanced training of rhythmic gymnastics coaches in Latin America.
The authors conclude that the need for advanced training courses for the Latin American rhythmic gymnastics coaches is based not only on the dynamics of development of rhythmic gymnastics but also on a significant gap with the European countries, as well as the undeveloped scientific methodological and organizational system of training of gymnasts and coaches. Advanced training courses held by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG) do not entirely solve the problem. In El Salvador, Guatemala and Costa Rica, the lag from other countries in the level of development of rhythmic gymnastics requires the federations to plan effectively. Therefore, the issues of training of coaches and systematic improvement of their professional skills should be considered in the planning of work.
