Objective of the study was to identify the peculiarities of spiker training by the example of the 14-15 year-old female volleyball players. The educational experiment was conducted at the premises of the Complex Sports Training Base "Podmoskovnye Zori" from July 5 to July 26, 2018, from August 2 to August 22, 2018, and lastly, from August 23 to September 9, 2018. Sampled for the experiment were the members of the female team "Nika-2", trainees of the State Budgetary Institution "Sport School of Olympic Reserve No. 65 "NIKA", all born in 2004. The sample was split into 2 groups: Control Group and Experimental Group (10 people each). The CG subjects were trained under the previously used program, while the EG subjects were proposed to use an experimental methodology in the main part of the training session. This set of exercises was used for two months, once every three to four days, and lasted 50-60 minutes.
The analysis of the levels of special physical and technical fitness of the female volleyball players of both groups revealed statistically significant differences in all control tests. Therefore, extensive use of the developed methodology of improvement of special physical and technical fitness of spikers leads to an increase in the control test rates and indicates significant improvement of special physical and technical fitness of female volleyball players, which testifies to the effectiveness of the proposed methodology.
