The article is devoted to the tactical training in 200 m running in terms of competitions held at a stadium. The distance was conditionally divided into several interconnected segments (sections). We analyzed the peculiarities of running on the studied distance segments (sections) and the sprinters’ functional state when running a curve (0-100 m) and on a straight segment (100-200 m), as well as the distribution of (applied) forces, etc. The study shows the numerical values enabling to plan the result on the first and second 100 m segments (sections) and ensure a skillful 200 m running technique along the entire distance:
- the time difference between the "start-to-100 m and 100-200 m" segments can be equal to 0.45-0.55 sec (0.60-0.70 sec should be approximated);
- the time difference between the best result in the 100 m run (season) and the "start-to-100 m" segment (running the curve) was 0.30-0.35 sec (in some cases it can reach 0.40 sec);
- the time difference between the best result in the 100 m run (season) and the 100-200 m segment (running on the straight line) - 0.10-0.20 sec;
- in view of the numerical values obtained in the examined runners (both males and females) on the 200 m segment (in order to make adjustments), we should proceed from the number of laps completed, the number of starts in other types of run in these competitions (athletes can participate in the 100 m and 200 m runs or 200 m and 400 m runs), weather conditions, etc.

Keywords: 200 m run, curve (turn), running on segments (sections), tactics, maximum speed, free run, force distribution.
