The study analyzes the modern kick-double-pole version of diagonal stride applied by the elite skiers on the C-class ascends in the 2018 Winter Olympic Games. The main stride rating criteria were the following: speed and its elements: stride length and frequency; cycle/ stride length and time with its elements; trunk/ hip/ shin angles; hip/ knee/ ankle angles; push-leg to ground angle etc. The study data and analyses made it possible to profile the modern kick-double-pole version of the diagonal stride applied by elite skiers on ascends. The model specifications may be applied for the training system design and training process management purposes in the elite cross-country skiers’ pre-season training.

Keywords: technique, angular rates, cross-country skiers, kinematics, kick-double-pole diagonal stride.
