Greco-Roman wrestlers' physicality building training process

Objective of the study was to provide theoretical and experimental grounds for application of junior Greco-Roman wrestlers’ physicality building training model at sport school. The training model is designed to include training modules intended to develop speed, flexibility and dexterity in the trainees, with each of the modules including the practice design component, test exercises, process management and rest component. The speed building training module includes the “Standing run with high thighs”; “30m high-start run”; and the “Referee’s position to stand-up move” exercises. The flexibility building training module includes the “Seated legs apart bending forward”; “Straight legs apart”; and Prone face-down arms up” exercises. And the dexterity building training module includes the “3x10m shuttle run”; “180o turnaround jumps” and “Balanced rolls on spot” exercises.
The test data produced by the educational process experiment showed benefits of the junior Greco-Roman wrestlers’ physicality building modular training model. The modular structure of the training process was rated as efficient as verified by the Study Group versus Reference Group physical fitness progress rates.
