Movement as a basic form of living of all flesh is a key operating condition of the body. Efficient organization of the children's motor activity since the first days of school studies promotes controlling intellectual and physical development of schoolchildren, suggesting and settling the tasks of promotion and strengthening of health; providing all-round, harmonious development, fforming of the need for independent use of means of physical culture and sport for development and enhancement. A comparatively small number of schoolchildren is involved in regular sports classes by the obvious role of physical culture and sport as a method of self-development, indicating to the lack of attention from parents and school staff to solution of the given problem. Development and introduction into practice of the educational-training activity of innovative forms of activity are some of the leading directions of enhancement of physical culture and recreational and mass sports activities with schoolchildren of different age at comprehensive school.
The purpose of the study was theoretical and methodological support of the appropriateness of organization of the club of veterans of sport as a new form of mass sports activity with junior, middle-aged and senior schoolchildren.
Practical realization of activities of the club of veterans of sport combines the efforts of interested parties, school graduates, parents, former pupils of this school, to the qualitatively new organization of school physical culture based on stimulation of the pupils’ interest in physical culture and sports activities as a compulsory element of human life.
