The Essence of Training and Competitive Activity of All-Round Skiers of Mass Sports Grades

As of today modern forms of competitions are popular among cross country skiers of various age groups and are included in the program of winter Olympic games, World Cup and Student Games, as well as schedules of Russian, regional and district competitions.
Nowadays in skiing sport most of research works are dedicated to training of skiers specialized in long and cross country distances and the studies of training all-round skiers are almost lacking, indicating to the needed search of new approaches, conditions and methods of the content of training process of cross country skiers of this orientation.
The purpose of the study was to enhance efficiency of the training and competitive activity of all-round skiers of mass categories. The tasks involved: allocation of the peculiarities of training and competitive activity of all-round skiers of mass sports grades; design and experimental validation of the methodology of the training process of all-round skiers of mass categories.
Therefore, the results obtained proved greater efficiency of the experimental methodology of training classes for skiers of the experimental group, since the positive significant increment of indicators was shown in all the tests made and conducted competitions and ranking stipulated for significant positive shifts between the control group 1, 2 and the experimental one, confirming the increased efficiency of the competitive process of all-round skiers of the experimental group.
