Teachers’ Assessment of Skills of Socialization of Handicapped Schoolchildren via Adaptive Sports Extracurricular Activities during Postgraduate Education

According to the analysis of the state of the problem of formation of teachers' skills in the field of socialization of handicapped schoolchildren via adaptive-sports extracurricular activities, insufficient training in this area is associated with underdeveloped technology of teaching these skills during vocational training. The practically detected state of things served the reason for searching for the optimal technology of formation of the skills mentioned above. The pilot testing was carried out to check efficiency of this technology. This study is in the research category, since efficiency of formation of teachers' skills was checked within the postgraduate courses, designed in Ulyanovsk state university.
The work "Teacher's school examination" by V.A. Bukhvalov and Ya.G. Pliner (2000) laid the basis in allocation of the level of development of the stated skills, where the authors suggest examining teachers' skills at every class.
One of the goal sets of the stating experiment at the first phase was to clarify the teachers' attitude to the value of extracurricular adaptive-sports activity in socializing handicapped schoolchildren. Here the methods applied included observation and interview.
The purpose of the study was to design the curriculum and introduce into the practice of extended education the courses intended for formation of teachers’ skills in the field of socialization of handicapped schoolchildren via adaptive-sports extracurricular activities.
The postgraduate courses, aimed at developing teachers’ skills in the field of socialization of handicapped schoolchildren via adaptive-sports extracurricular activities, resulted in the remarkable positive changes of the indices, indicating to efficiency of such classes.
