Key words: adolescents, task performance, physical working capacity, vital capacity.
The purpose of the study was to compare the characteristics of the adolescents’ functional status and detect the quality of physical loading for pupils of physico-mathematical lyceum from various health groups.
Male 16–17-year olds, studying in the Moscow physico-mathematical lyceum, from various health groups, subject to excessive intellectual loadings, are distinguished by various body’s function capabilities. The most essential variance was detected in pupils suffering from chronic diseases in the external respiratory system, function capabilities of the blood circulation system and aerobic tolerance. 16–17 year old lyceum pupils are recommended to train in special medical groups and individual remedial gymnastics classes on occasion. In case of assigned extra physical education classes the lyceum pupils are to pay special attention to the motor mode and the use of breathing exercises. These exercises contribute to development of inspired and expired reserve volumes, vital capacity, anaerobic and aerobic exercising along with thorough control of aerobic loadings.
