The purpose of the study was to improve the process of physical education of female students of teacher’s colleges by designing the technology of formation of the swimming skill based on the use of exercises from different water sport, intended to acquiring the consolidated swimming skill, useful in performance of applied vocational tasks.
According to the comparative analysis of the data on the girls’ self-evaluation of their emotional state after classes, the improvement of all parameters was significantly higher in the experimental group rather than in the control one, which confirms effectiveness of the impact of the developed technique not only on swimming skills, but also on the emotional state of female students.
Conclusion. The modern approach to teaching swimming is made of the ability to use a wide range of exercises intended to form the sustainable swimming skill. This contributes to creating the interest and increasing the motivational readiness for physical education classes among young students, on the one hand, and will contribute to consolidated development of applied swimming skills useful in teaching, on the other.
The findings of the educational experiment results prove the effectiveness of the developed technology with the use of exercise from water sports.
