Modeling assists in reproducing the integrity of an object under study, its structure, operation, to maintain this integrity at all phases of the research. This is an indispensable condition for measuring the object’s characteristics. Each variable is meaningful only if these variables are represented in the system of indicators in the form of an object’s model and his structure.
The Russian national system of vocational training is undergoing the structural transformation. The integration of Russia into the global educational system and first of all - the European one is one of the priorities of modernization of vocational training in Russia. The general trend of transformation of higher education in Russia naturally provokes the interest in analyzing the international experience in construction of educational models, which have some differences from the traditional educational system in Russia.
The purpose of the study was to compare modeling of vocational training in physical culture and sport and characterize the Russian and foreign educational models.
One of the major tasks of the Russian educational system is maintenance and improvement of the domestic model of vocational training, adequate to modern conditions and retaining all of the best features of the Russian physical education. It has a big experience and invaluable national traditions and has preserved qualified research and teaching personnel.
