Formation of Professional Competency of Future Life Safety and Physical Education Teacher via Competence Model

The competence-based approach determines the main ways of implementation of the new standard of future teachers’ training. Hence, there arises an urgent need to develop the essence of competencies and define the ways of their formation in the university educational environment.
The purpose of the study was to substantiate the characteristics comprising the competence model of a future life safety and physical education teacher within his vocational competency.
The obtained distribution and the results of expert appraisal compared with the results of the researchers’ personal observations laid the basis of development of interval scales which are stipulated in the present paper.
The analysis of the obtained data revealed that the statistically significant differences between the average grades of competent and incompetent students. The probability of a correct evaluation of the components of professional competence of the future life safety and physical education teacher using the given technology is over 80 %.
