Organization of Sports Clubs Based on Comprehensive School

The purpose of the study was theoretical and methodological substantiation of new forms of fitness and mass sports activities at a comprehensive school, ensuring more active involvement of pupils in the regular specially organized motor activity.
According to the experimental validation of the work of the sports club at schools № 13 and 25, the wider specialization of activity of this kind of sports club promoted activation of a great number of pupils, especially secondary and senior ones. The schoolchildren managed to estimate the opportunity to test their abilities, inclinations, interests, displayed readiness to master instructor skills, with promoted expanding the sports club's activity and attracting a significant part of pupils to active diverse fitness and mass sports work.
Such an approach to improvement of physical education of schoolchildren provided improvement of attendance of lessons and extracurricular forms of classes by 14,7 % - in the 5–7 forms, by 11,8 % - in the 10-11th forms. 83 pupils more joined the sports clubs' activities, which enables holding contests of the best instructor of active games with primary pupils, the best judge in specific sports; sportcaster, best propagandist of physical culture and sport etc. The pupils who gave up sports sections found themselves in other sports spheres, contributing to their involvement in the social work with the perspective of self-actualization.
