Abstract

Objective of the study is the substantiation of the approaches to the determination of the criteria for the assessment of the physical preparedness of children aged 6-7 in the transition to the stage of primary general education, taking into account their continuity with the normative requirements of the GTO complex. Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work included the analysis, generalisation and systematisation of sources of information, including normative-legal acts, scientific and methodological publications on the studied problem, as well as the logical method of research. Results and conclusions. According to the results of the conducted study, the expediency of using two specific forms of continuity in the process of physical preparation was established: horizontal, which is connected with the accumulation of quantitative acquisitions, and vertical, which is represented by qualitative changes leading to the transition from one stage of preparation to the next stage. According to the results of the study, it was established that, as a criterion for the assessment of quantitative acquisitions within each stage of physical preparation, such an indicator as the index of integral physical preparedness can be used, and for the assessment of the qualitative changes determining the transition from one stage to another, the criterion of integral physical preparedness.
