Abstract

Objective of the study is the substantiation of the ways of perfecting sports-mass work with foreign students on the basis of expert assessments. Methods and structure of the study. 27 experts from among the staff of the administration of the Ural Federal University (UrFU) and the teachers of the Institute of Physical Culture, Sport and Youth Policy (IPCSYP, UrFU) took part in the scientific work. To conduct the study, a questionnaire on the Likert scale (on a 5-point system of assessments) was developed, including four blocks of statements directed at revealing the attitude of the experts to the organisation of sports-mass work with foreign students at UrFU. Results and conclusions. As the main criteria of the effectiveness of sports-mass work with foreign students, the experts from among the administration singled out the growth of the number of foreign students involved in sports-mass work, as well as the increase in the number of mixed teams (Russian and foreign students) in inter-university competitions. All the experts indicate that the most significant ways of perfecting sports-mass work with foreign students are the preparation of coach-teachers for work in a multicultural environment and the integration of information about sports-mass events with messengers and social networks. The expert-teachers noted the importance of revealing the sporting interests of foreign students.
