Training the technique of the rational execution of running movements using feedback devices and telemedicine methods: a review of the foreign press

Abstract
Objective of the study is the identification of methods of preventing and treating running injuries on the basis of the correction of running movements with the help of information on the level of loads on the musculoskeletal apparatus, which is received along the feedback chain created with the help of telemedicine means and as a result of using mobile devices of urgent information. Methods and structure of the study. To achieve the set aim, an analysis of publications in the period from 2016 to 2026 in the PubMed biomedical research search engine was conducted, by the keywords ‘biofeedback; injuries; running’. The sample amounted to 15 works for more in-depth study. Results and conclusions. It was shown that the use of visual and sound feedback in laboratory conditions makes it possible to significantly improve running technique over a few weeks, which is expressed in a reduction of the impact loads on the musculoskeletal apparatus, a decrease in the vertical oscillations of the body, an increase in the frequency of steps and an optimisation of the distribution of pressure over the sole in the support phase. Such a correction of technique leads to a reduction of pain sensations and exerts a pronounced therapeutic effect in injuries of the knee joint, a stress fracture of the tibia, inflammation of the Achilles tendon and plantar fasciitis of the foot. The wide introduction of these methods of correcting running technique becomes possible with the use of the possibilities of telemedicine, wearable devices of urgent information and mobile applications, which reliably reduce the probability of injury in running.
