Features of vegetative balance in adolescents during systematic engagement in sport

Abstract

Objective of the study is the identification of the features of the vegetative regulation of the heart rhythm and vegetative balance in young ice hockey players aged 11-15 in the dynamics of the training process. Methods and structure of the study. Boys aged 11-15 engaged in ice hockey and boys of a similar age engaged in physical culture in the volume of a comprehensive school took part in the scientific work. The method of variational pulsometry was used with the application of the ‘Reo-Spectr’ hardware-and-software complex (JSC ‘Neurosoft’). The indicators of the histogram, Mo, AMo, Δx, as well as the tension index (TI), on the basis of which a conclusion was drawn about the state of the initial vegetative tone (IVT) taking into account age gradation, were analysed. Results and conclusions. It was shown that in 11-year-old ice hockey players the urgent adaptation to the training process is accompanied by an increase in the total tension of the central mechanisms of the regulation of the heart rhythm and a shift of the vegetative balance towards tonic sympathetic influences with a predominance of hypersympathicotonic states. Regular training over 5 years increases the activity of autonomous regulation, strengthens the parasympathetic influences on the heart rhythm, and the proportion of vagotonics in the group of 15-year-old athletes rises to 100% of those examined. In contrast to boys not engaged in sport, in whom the state of vegetative balance to a greater degree reflects the age-related heterochrony of the functional maturation of the divisions of the autonomic nervous system.
