Abstract

Objective of the study is the study of the adaptive changes in vascular resistances and the parameters of central haemodynamics when athletes perform dosed muscular work of non-maximal power. Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work was conducted at the N.I. Volkov Department of Biochemistry and Bioenergetics of Sport. 20 highly qualified track-and-field athletes of different specialisations and 12 highly qualified middle-distance runners took part in the experiment, who performed two loads (500 and 1000 kgm/min). Each load lasted from 3 to 5 minutes with a ten-minute recovery. Arterial pressure was measured and the rheogram of the central pulse was continuously recorded by the method of tetrapolar rheography. Results and conclusions. It was shown that the method of RE-diagrams can be effectively used both for the visual presentation of results and for comparing the powers of dosed muscular loads with the known powers of bicycle-ergometric loads. A decrease in arterial pressure after sufficiently intense muscular work does not mean a decrease in the load on the heart, since the prolonged decrease in arterial pressure is connected with a growth in heart rate, a decrease in the stroke volume of blood and a growth in elastic resistance, the magnitude of which determines the vascular load on the heart.
