Abstract
Objective of the study is the empirical confirmation of the effectiveness of introducing children’s fitness technologies into the process of training children at the initial stage of preparation in complex-coordination sports. Methods and structure of the study. The methods of analysis and synthesis, theoretical studies and programmes, a survey of coaches (n=62) were used; ranking and testing were carried out, methods of mathematical statistics were applied. In 2024-2026, on the basis of children’s and youth sports schools of St. Petersburg, 4 pedagogical experiments in different sports were conducted, in which 114 children aged 5 to 7 took part. Results and conclusions. The results of the survey of the coaching staff testify that the content filling of the training process at the initial preparation stage objectifies the need for the modernisation of pedagogical approaches, the introduction of innovative technologies and the revision of established methodological stereotypes, determined by the deterioration of the somatic status of the modern children’s contingent. In the course of the conducted studies, the most significant motor abilities and specific (sensorimotor) qualities important for the seven most widespread sports were identified. The expediency of integrating the means of children’s fitness into the structure of the training sessions of young athletes is empirically substantiated, with the aim of selectively influencing the coordination and conditioning abilities that are priorities for a specific specialisation, which will ensure the optimisation and increase in the effectiveness of initial athletic preparation.
