Abstract

Objective of the study is the substantiation of a system of contextual learning methods that make it possible to carry out an effective transfer of skills from the sporting environment into the professional-pedagogical one. Methods and structure of the study. An analysis of the scientific-methodological literature reflecting the theoretical and applied aspects of contextual learning in the system of higher physical-culture education was carried out. Results and conclusions. Contextual learning is a necessary condition for the quality training of a coach in the system of higher education. It makes it possible to effectively use the sporting experience accumulated by students, transferring it from the plane of intuitive execution into the plane of conscious pedagogical activity. The systematic application of contextual learning methods (simulation modelling, case study, game design) ensures the transformation of sporting experience into a pedagogical instrument.
