Sports and applied fitness boxing in the formation of students' readiness to comply with the norms of the All-Russian Physical Culture and Sports Complex GTO

Abstract
Objective of the study is to theoretically substantiate the formation of the readiness of female university students to fulfil the norms of the VFSK GTO on the basis of classes in sports-applied fitness boxing and to recommend the methodology for testing in the practice of physical education. Methods and structure of the study. The preliminary study was conducted at the Timiryazev Russian State Agrarian University – Moscow Agricultural Academy, Moscow, in 2025-2026. For the organisation and conduct of the study, the following methods were selected: analysis of the scientific-methodological literature and of the practice of fulfilling the norms of the VFSK GTO by female university students, questionnaire survey, interview, pedagogical observation, modelling, abstraction, testing of physical fitness, systematisation of factual material, methods of mathematical statistics, etc. Female students of the 1st-2nd years took part in the experiment. Results and conclusions. The conducted theoretical study contributed to the collection of factual material, on the basis of which the following statistical indicators were revealed: since the beginning of the revival of the new VFSK GTO complex (2014), more than 23 million people (16.4% of the total population of the country) took part in the fulfilment of the GTO norms, of whom 11 million people fulfilled the GTO norms for badges of distinction (gold, silver and bronze badges) (21.6% – gold badge, 39.5% – silver and 38.9% – bronze). In total, of the entire number of participants, 47.8% fulfilled the standards for GTO badges.
