Abstract

Objective of the study is the improvement of athletes’ training on the basis of developing the abilities and skills of information activity, which comprises intellectual and technological components; the integration of these components and GTO means into the training of rugby-player athletes. Methods and structure of the study. The scientific work is built in accordance with the general scientific methodology of modelling. The central place in the study is occupied by the process model, a system of interconnected processes. The process model includes: inputs, outputs, control and mechanisms, mapped onto the processes of training. Results and conclusions. The result of the study consists of substantiated approaches to the formation of knowledge, abilities and competencies of athletes and coaches in the information environment, which make it possible to: – to develop and implement a process model of the training process; – using neural networks as the mechanisms of the process model, to build multi-aspect individual training trajectories of each athlete; – to select adequate means of implementation for the individual training trajectories. It is substantiated that GTO test databases can be used as a means of controlling sporting results.
