Abstract
Objective of the study is to propose an algorithm for individualising the technical and tactical preparation of 17-18-year-old Greco-Roman wrestlers based on an integrated assessment of morphofunctional type and indicators of general physical fitness. Methods and structure of the study. The study involved 24 male Greco-Roman wrestlers aged 17 to 18 competing in the 66-78 kg weight categories. A cluster analysis distinguished three morphofunctional types of athlete: type 1, mesomorphic with a balanced functional profile; type 2, brachymorphic with a profile of high relative strength endurance; and type 3, dolichomorphic with a profile of limited functional reserve. Results and conclusions. Statistically significant between-group differences were found in the general physical fitness and functional state of the Greco-Roman wrestlers (p<0.05). Correlation analysis identified meaningful links between anthropometric measures and the effectiveness with which technical and tactical actions were performed. On this basis, individual preparation pathways were devised for each morphofunctional type of athlete, and indicators were proposed for monitoring how athletes adapt to the loads of the training process.
