Methods and structure of the study. The work uses a comparative analysis of theoretical concepts and provisions on the topic under study (problematic issues). Results and conclusions. The digitalization of education contributes to the effective implementation of the university's social task of training in-demand and competent specialists in the field of physical culture and sports. Its active implementation leads to an imbalance between the formation of digital competencies and soft skills (flexible skills) that are necessary for future specialists to advance in their careers. Humanitarian knowledge continues to play a leading role in the development and formation of the personality of a specialist in the field of physical culture and sports, reducing the risks of "dehumanization" in the digital era and ensuring the preservation of ethical and spiritual values in the context of the technologicalization of sports education. The synthesis of digitalization and humanities creates a sustainable model of education, where technological innovations are complemented by the development of soft skills, which is especially important for training competitive specialists in the field of physical culture and sports.
