Objective of the study is to develop, test and assess the effectiveness of a differentiated modular programme for the development and improvement of physical qualities in the training process of competitive judokas, based on the distribution of training content taking into account the functional condition of the participants.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was conducted at the laboratory of Smolensk State University of Sport using the ‘Biomechanics’ stabilisation platform and the ‘Omega’ functional training system. Twenty qualified judokas took part in the study. The differentiated modular programme for the development and improvement of physical qualities, based on the distribution of training material taking into account the functional condition of the participants, consisted of three modules designed to improve physical, technical-tactical and competitive fitness.
Results and conclusions. The programme developed reflects the focus and content of the training process within an annual training cycle, enhances the physical fitness of qualified judokas, their functional condition and fitness levels, and provides a foundation for further training. The differentiated modular programme creates conditions for achieving peak athletic form, optimal conditions for physical and mental development, self-realisation, and the improvement of health among martial artists.
