The digitalisation of higher education: experiences with the implementation of new teaching models in higher education

Objective of the study is to identify trends in blended learning within the higher education system in order to improve staffing and educational policies in the physical education and sport sector.
Methods and structure of the study. An analysis, systematisation, comparison and synthesis of information and analytical materials based on the results of monitoring the activities of higher education institutions in Russia were carried out.
Results and conclusions. As a result of the monitoring, criteria-based and content-related indicators for the application of blended learning in higher education institutions have been identified. An organisational and functional framework for the delivery of subjects and modules in a blended learning environment (using ‘flipped learning’ as an example) has been proposed for the training of personnel in the physical education and sport sector. The analysis carried out has revealed new contours and prospects for the training of specialists in the higher education system for the physical education and sports sector. The analysis revealed improvements in the activities of the academic staff regarding the implementation of ‘flipped learning’, which is aimed at developing digital content to enhance the effectiveness of learning. The conditions for designing a blended learning environment, as well as the structure, relevance and comprehensiveness of information in educational content, are substantiated.
