Objective of the study is to develop and validate a concept for the personalised training of elite female athletes specialising in modern pentathlon.
Methods and structure of the study. The research was conducted at the Laboratory of Olympic Sports at F. Skorina Gomel State University. Personalised training models for modern pentathletes were developed and tested during the training process of six highly qualified athletes (Masters of Sport – International Class Masters of Sport of Russia). The effectiveness of the models was assessed based on the extent of significant improvement in the athletes’ physical and functional fitness, as well as the increase in sporting performance in pentathlon disciplines.
Results and conclusions. A concept for the individualisation of the training process for athletes in modern pentathlon has been developed, which includes personalised models of competitive activity, the construction of an annual training cycle, and the projected dynamics of the level of specialised fitness for a specific pentathlon event, aimed at achieving planned targets by the time of major competitions. The practical application of the developed models, based on taking into account the individual characteristics of competitive activity, the morphofunctional and biorhythmic characteristics of a specific athlete’s body, has contributed to a significant improvement in her level of fitness, an increase in sporting performance in modern pentathlon disciplines, as well as successful performances at the major national and international competitions of the 2024–2025 season.
