Objective of the study is to theoretically justify the use of a functional-digital (phygital) approach in the process of adaptive physical education with an emphasis on creating individualised and motivating conditions for the development of motor and cognitive skills in children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Methods and structure of the study. The study is based on an analysis of scientific and methodological literature and regulatory documents, a description of modern digital and interactive technologies (VR, AR, MR) in adaptive physical education, as well as a structured review of the algorithms of digital platforms that implement the principles of adaptability, individualisation, visualisation and progress monitoring in children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorder.
Results and conclusions. The introduction of a functional-digital approach to the process of adaptive physical education contributes to the formation of a controlled, personalised and predictable learning environment for children with intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. The use of digital technologies such as VR, AR, and MR not only allows for the individualisation of exercise load and complexity, but also provides visual support and instant feedback, which increases motivation, engagement, and the frequency of motor action repetition.
