Educational effectiveness of integrating military applied sports into the physical education programme for schoolchildren in the context of school sports clubs

Objective of the study is to theoretically substantiate, develop and experimentally verify the effectiveness of an integrative model for using military-applied sports in the physical education programme for schoolchildren in the context of a school sports club.
Methods and structure of the study. The study involved 256 students in grades 7–11 from school sports clubs in five schools in the Chechen Republic. During the study, an experimental programme was developed and implemented, designed in the format of an additional general education programme and based on the integration of elements of military-applied sports and applied military-sports training into the system of sectional classes of the school sports club. The programme was implemented over a period of six months (May–November 2024) with classes held three times a week for two academic hours (90 minutes) each. The programme had a modular structure and included general and special physical training, technical and tactical training, as well as applied military-sports exercises (obstacle course, throwing training shells, carrying a simulated ‘wounded’ person, elements of drill and tactical training).
Results and conclusions. It was found that the implementation of the experimental programme, which integrated military-applied sports, provided a statistically significant (p <0.001) improvement in the physical fitness indicators of schoolchildren in all tested qualities.
