Objective of the study is to assess the capabilities of the GTO complex in educational institutions for regulating the level of physical fitness in mature adults.
Methods and structure of the study. The study was organised at Belgorod State National Research University. University professors and lecturers aged between 40 and 59 were involved. They were divided into age categories. A total of around 100 teachers took part.
Results and conclusions. Analysis of the results shows that the level of physical fitness among the teachers who participated in the study is quite high. And, despite certain dynamics in physical fitness, many employees try to engage in physical culture on a regular basis. The introduction of the GTO complex may have been a possible impetus for regular physical exercise. The study proves once again that regular physical exercise allows people to maintain a high level of physical fitness for many years. This, in turn, contributes to maintaining high performance and health in the mature population.
