Objective of the study is to theoretically substantiate the concept of physical and social competence (PSC) as an independent outcome of education and to develop a two-level model of its formation.
Methods and structure of the study. The basis was an interdisciplinary synthesis: phenomenology of corporeality (Merleau-Ponty M.) to describe the ontological conditions of intercorporeal interaction, the theory of functional systems (P.K. Anokhin) and the theory of movement construction (N.A. Bernstein) to reveal the psychophysiological mechanisms of activity. Theoretical methods were applied: historical and logical analysis, comparative analysis of existing pedagogical models (TPSR, Sport Education, life skills) and theoretical modelling.
Results and conclusions. The specifics of social interaction in physical culture and sports activities have been identified, structured into three modalities of intercorporality: cooperative-competitive (balance of rivalry and cooperation), public-demonstrative (regulation of emotions in public), and risk-trust (physical trust and responsibility). A two-level model has been developed, where physical culture of the individual acts as an intrapersonal resource, and PSC acts as an interpersonal vector for its realisation, mediated by the mechanism of physical culture thinking. A four-component structure of PSC (cognitive, motivational-value, operational-activity, and reflective-regulatory components) is described, functionally related to the modalities of the environment. The formation process is represented by a reflective-active cycle. A system of pedagogical situations (wordless games, role rotation, interdependence of results) is proposed to ensure the implementation of the Federal State Educational Standards requirements for cooperation skills. The concept provides educators with tools for realising the socialising potential of physical education lessons.
