Sports discourse: communicative strategies and tactics (using figure skiing as an example)

Objective of the study is to identify and substantiate communication strategies and tactics in sports discourse based on figure skiing material, aimed at forming the value-semantic space of sports activities of key agents: athletes, coaches, referees, sports commentators and the media, manifesting the values and norms of a particular socio-cultural community.
Methods and structure of the study. A critical discourse analysis of words, hidden goals, power relations, and ideologies behind communication in figure skiing was conducted. The identified strategies and tactics were systematised and interpreted according to communication agents and situations. Continuous and targeted sampling methods were used to form the corpus, contextual analysis was performed taking into account the external circumstances of the utterances, linguistic observation and description of linguistic phenomena, and discursive analysis.
Results and conclusions. A multi-level model has been designed showing the words and constructions used by agents, the circulation of texts in the media space of figure skiing, the interconnection of communication, the established system of relations, values and economics of the chosen sport (figure skiing).
