Objective of the study is to develop and experimentally substantiate a system of methods and means aimed at developing the coordination abilities of football players aged 10-11.
Methods and structure of the study. The experiment was conducted in natural conditions at a sports school in Moscow, with the participation of boys aged 10-11. Two groups were formed. The control group (CG) underwent training sessions under normal conditions according to the school's approved programme, while the experimental group (EG) underwent training sessions using the experimental methodology. Each group consisted of 26 people, and all sessions were held three times a week for 90 minutes each. At the beginning and end of the study, all children performed control tests that reflected the level of development of the athletes' coordination abilities.
Results and conclusions. After the end of the pedagogical experiment, the control group's scores increased on all tests, but the increase was not statistically significant (p>0.05). At the same time, the EG's scores on all control standards increased significantly. The difference in running with a change of direction is 1.2 points. With a standard deviation of δ–0.5, t=4.96. The difference is significant (p<0.05). In the ‘Read the Map’ test, the difference was 1.5 points (t=6.20, p<0.05). The ‘Run on Signal’ exercise showed a positive increase of 1.9 points, with δ–0.5, t=7.85, (p<0.05). In the ‘Most Agile’ test, the result increased by 1.9 points, with δ–0.6, t=6.21 (p<0.05).
