Objective of the study is to reveal the effectiveness of polarised training for kickboxers in the preparatory period based on the integrated development of athletes' aerobic and anaerobic capabilities.
Methods and structure of the study. During the preparatory period, prolonged low-intensity loads were combined with high-speed techniques. After five training sessions to develop general endurance, speed and strength training was conducted to maximise the speed and power of punches and kicks. Maximum and anaerobic power indicators were measured, as well as the power decline index and maximum oxygen consumption (MOC).
Results and conclusions. Polarised training increases the anaerobic capacity of kickboxers to a greater extent, while aerobic energy supply mechanisms are improved to a lesser extent. When planning further training, more attention should be paid to developing the aerobic capacity of kickboxers.
Keywords: kickboxers, polarised training, preparatory period, power indicators.
