Objective of the study is to improve the specific physical fitness and functional condition of qualified judokas by using methods for improving vestibular stability in the training process.
Methods and structure of the study. A total of 26 judokas of various sporting qualifications took part in the study. The scientific work was carried out at the educational and scientific laboratory of Smolensk State University of Sport using the ST-150 stabilisation platform. To improve the vestibular stability of judokas, a method using biological feedback (BF) was developed and tested.
Results and conclusions. The study showed that in a relatively short period of three months of training, it is possible to improve not only motor coordination abilities, but also to have a positive effect on the functional state (coordination function, reaction time, balance function and cognitive control) of judokas of various athletic skill levels. The effectiveness of the developed methodology has been proven by a reliable increase in the indicators of special physical fitness of martial artists.
