Exergame–technologies in the digital movement: prospects for use

Introduction. Digital technologies that integrate physical exercises and interactive game formats occupy a central place in the digital movement. Exergame technologies are digital interactive systems in which gameplay is controlled by the user performing real physical actions, ensuring seamless integration of the training load with gamified mechanics.
The purpose of the study is to determine the potential of using action games in the digital movement system.
Methodology and organization of research. A comparative analysis of literary sources, an analysis of regulatory documents and a content analysis of specialized Internet resources were carried out.
The results of the study and their discussion. An analysis of foreign and domestic studies shows that exergames have proven effectiveness as a means of training and developing the physical, cognitive and emotional characteristics of students [1, 2]. The inclusion of exergames in educational and training programs is considered as a promising tool for updating physical education methods, increasing student engagement and expanding the possibilities of individualizing workload.
Special attention in the scientific literature is paid to the use of exergames in wellness practice, including rehabilitation and activity support for people (including participants in their own activities). The positive research results confirm their versatility and adaptability.
Exergame technologies correspond to global trends of digital transformation of sports and form a new model of motor activity combining physical exercises, game mechanics and elements of interactivity. In the context of the formation of a digital infrastructure, their application can become the basis for the development of new training and sports training methods, the development of educational modules and the creation of new sports disciplines in digital sports. Taking into account international experience, exergaming can be considered as a tool to reduce barriers to entry into sports and increase youth engagement.
Conclusions. Exergame technologies have significant potential for use in the digital movement and can serve as an effective complement to traditional means of physical training. Scientific evidence indicates the complex effect of exergames on the physical, cognitive and emotional state of those involved.
