Objective of the study is to reveal the features of implementing a value-based approach in developing health-centredness among higher education students.
Methods and structure of the study. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature on the research problem, expert assessment method, methods of mathematical and statistical data analysis (Kendall's concordance coefficient, Student's criterion). The validity of including health-centredness in the model of personal qualities of university students was determined by expert assessment (n=456).
Results and conclusions. The analysis confirmed the high importance of health-centredness for higher education students (average score of 3.47±0.60 on a 4-point scale). Teachers attach the greatest importance to this quality (3.57 points). Statistical analysis revealed gender differences: women rate the importance of health-centredness higher than men. The experience of fostering a culture of health among students is described within the framework of the implementation of the higher education (bachelor's) programme ‘Public Administration and Public Policy in the Context of Global Challenges ’RESOURCE of Russia" at the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation.
The educational programme includes a module on ‘Health Culture’ and an optional module on ‘Resource Practices’ (cardio, strength, functional training, classes to develop flexibility, coordination and balance), aimed at developing students' resourcefulness. The working programme of education includes the organisation of trekking tours and hiking trips, sports matches and marathons, fitness classes and interest groups, thematic seminars and training sessions on managing emotions and stress management, master classes by famous athletes, meetings with medical professionals, the organisation of sporting events at external venues, etc. Fostering a value-based attitude towards health in the areas of health preservation, health provision and health formation contributes to the development of health-centredness among higher education students.

Keywords: health-centredness, value-based attitude to health, education, students, resource practices.
