Objective of the study is to determine the vector of development of the semantic core of the athlete's personality within the multidimensional components of the spiritual, moral, ethical and civil-patriotic sphere of physical culture and sports activities based on the comprehension and systematization of the judgments of the authors of the journal Teoriya i praktika fizicheskoy kultury.
Methods and structure of the study. Analysis of the content of publications on the problem of spiritual, moral and civil-patriotic education of a personality in the space of physical culture and sports and the problems of forming the moral and ethical basis of physical culture and sports activities and issues of education for the period from 2020 to 2024.
Results and conclusions. The journal «Teoriya i praktika fizicheskoy kultury» makes a significant contribution to improving the process of forming the semantic core of an athlete's personality, to the upbringing and development of the subject of activity based on multidimensional manifestations of the spiritual, moral, ethical and civil-patriotic components of Russian identity in the process of physical culture and sports activities. The formation of ideological positions – the creation of the semantic core of the personality of an athlete and a citizen is considered as one of the key areas of educational work. At the same time, the key role of the educational environment is emphasized, forming the basic foundation of the personality, its core, its moral choice, consistent with the values of the Fatherland, on the basis of which Victories are built.
